Repro parts question...

Howdy, everyone. As some of you know, I manufacture reproduction dash and console woodgrain pieces for the a-body Buicks. I know that there are other similar pieces out there for the other GM products, as well as some Mopar & Ford. My question is - Are there any models/applications that do not have pieces available, or, is what's out there crap and you need a better alternative? That was how I ended up doing the Buick parts because I was unhappy with the quality of what was out there.

I have fielded this question to my rep at Year One, as well. Haven't heard back yet. Typically, I would need to do at least 250 to make it worthwhile for the production costs.

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome. I would need access to an original part to match colors & patterns, and I can return them undamaged.

    Thanks!

Does it have to be woodgrained?

THe 71-73 Rivs have an engine turned surface instead of the woodgrain. Nobody reporduces them and I expect that you could find some good volume through the ROA.

Uh, Casey, I don't think he is going to be able to sell 250 plastic reproductions of Pepe's love muscle, even in woodgrain :Dou:

The 66/67 Cutlass/442 dash is the same. Nobody reproduces any of it that I am aware of. You might could make a few bucks selling them.... There are getting very hard to find in decent shape. They do not have any wood grain though.

    Keep 'em coming, guys!

Pat - sent the photo off to my printer. Something may come out of that one.

Casey - got your email. Any way you can get me a more detailed shot?

rdHurst - can do just about any laminate or flat plastic (lexan, actually) piece that requires screen printing and die cutting. Got a picture?

    Thanks!

I do not have a picture. But you can probably go to 442.com or e-bay and look through the gallery. All 66-67 Cutlass's use the same dash face. I do have a used one you can use though. They have two main pieces. The area around the gauge lenses is one piece the rest is a seperate piece. They are not flat. But there are more than a few people looking for them.
