I doubt there is a market for these odd-ball parts, but it took me a good couple of years (and another country) to find one for my 1966 Skylark. I bought mine from good old Canada, and haven't installed it yet... I was chatting with JR Wills and the idea of possibly having a couple reproduced came up.

My background is in the home furnishings industry, and around these parts we deal a LOT with antiques and old home restorations. I have a local shop that does furniture hardware repair and reproduction for me so I brought the radio delete plate by to see what they thought.

Basically, I can have anything reproduced as long as I have an original. They priced my radio delete at $50 for the initial reproduction in brass, and approximately another $50 to send it out to be plated (for correct finish).

If there is enough interest I'd be glad to have one, two or more of these made for you guys. $100 ballpark plus shipping and maybe $5-10 for my gas to the shop.

I realize $100+ is a LOT of money for a simple radio-delete, but I know when I bought mine I didn't care how much it was I just WANTED ONE!

Reply here if you'd be interested, or drop me a PM. Maybe if I get enough people in on one for the '66 cars, I could get us a better rate :Do No:

Also, if you have any other odd-ball piece on your Bufords that needs repair or reproduction let me know... they do steel, copper, brass, bronze, tin, aluminum and pewter work. They can create original sand or wax castings to do full on fabrication from a picture with dimensions. They've been doing this for 65 years, and I've dealt with them through out my career in the industry.
