Replacement Starter

    Yes, that will work. One long bolt, one short. There are specific mini starter bolts that do not come with it. The stock heat shield stays in place. I use the Robb Mc starter which is much more expensive, but it is adjustable for pinion clearance, and it comes with a pinion support option. (which I need for locked out timing.)

    Those starters fit the 350, 455, and even the 3.8 V6 engines I believe.

    Make sure you get one with the correct solenoid if you want that function. You can accomplish the same thing with a diode should your solenoid not have the "R" terminal.

    Mine came in today. Man, it is a cute little thing and it feels lighter than the old solenoid on my huge starter.

    My 350 is currently apart but I'm hoping (praying?) to have it back together by GS Nats.

    The mini starters are nice, mostly from the install and removal aspect, hell I'd set my old one on the pad of a floor jack just to connect the wiring, too damn heavy to hold:mad:

    I dropped one of them stupid ass things on my face when I was a kid from about 2ft high,....87 Silverado lifted a few in on 35s,...hit rite on the bridge of my nose and forehead hurt like a summa biatch
