Just wondering who is going to Bowling Green and run regal modified? The class has had real low attendance, probably because me and I know sum other have ran super 16 the past few years. Just wondering will the class have a decent turn out. I plan on coming back to the class if everything goes well. I would like to see at least ten cars in the class what need to be done to get the class a good showing.
I ran Regal Modified in BG last year. There was only two cars in class. And the class is a throphy only class. IMHO it would take some money for the win to get more cars into class, and to get 10 cars in the class it would take alot of money. Not sure if I will run RM this year or switch to B1.
you can run b1 as well as RM. I agree there should be sum type of monetary gain if you win but we have never realy had a good turn out to attract sponsors. I just think it would be nice if we could get a few more cars down to the event and into the class.
Thinking more about it. I think I'll stay in R/M, We go to Bowling Green for fun more than anything else. We enjoy the whole atmosphere and seeing friends, and the racing is still fun...
Heck, I even drove my Regal down there last year, wish I did run it in the RM,but it was my only set of wheels to get home. (I may have been a contender) ou: All the time, during the build, my goal was to build my Regal for the R/M class, being inspired by Ramin Ansari's "Thumper"and his new white Regal,a Bronze 79 Regal from Chicago,a pastel beige 86 Regal with a brown vinyl top wich I understood was in a junk yard a few weeks earlier, and lastly John Stevens from the Indiana Chapter with his sweet wheel standing Regal. But as everyones mentioned the class seemed to fizzel out, so I didn't try to get down there with it. So who knows maybe this year I'll drive it down there and make a few passes
Mike jus go up to Finisline find Bobb'S car and get what you need to finish your car. That way he will have a reason to back out of limited street and not have his:moonu: handed to him by me. :bla: LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!! :beers2:
I'll be there again this year. Last year I was one of two in the class. I had planned on racing a bracket this year though. Guess I'll see how many of us make it to BG and maybe I'll do both. I've only missed the Nationals once in the last ten years, and always been in RM since it started. Seems like we used to have a dozen cars or so, not sure what happened. Hopefully we have a better turn out this year!
Well it appears i must be psychic so now you can make it. Sorry to hear about Bobb's mishap Come on down and lets have sum fun!!!!!:3gears:
TPatterson You drive the Black Regal or the Red Regal? can't remember wich, just remember one had Ind plates on it... wich ever one it is..both where impressive. Mines not painted, just multicolor body parts, Black GN hood, Gold T-type header panel, Black bumper fillers, the 82 Lite jadestone green on the rest of the car, and one fender LH salvage, faded Jadestone, rolling on GN rims, so if I aint racing look for it in the parking lot.
I have the black 86 Regal with a GN hood. I plan on being there Thursday night, I'll keep an eye out for you at the track.
TPatterson We'll be going down Friday, and letting my son drive mine there. Dunno about racing it tho.. we'll see. Would be awesome if I did. :3gears: Ill look for yours anyhow. Ive been trying to convince Ramin from Laffayette, In.( orginal owner of Thumper, he won the RM class a couple years back) to bring his driver a White 87 Regal 455. While there, maybe I can talk you or anyone into do some demon tweaking on mine. I know there's more in mine than I'm getting.o No:
From the looks of it maybe 6-8 cars. I know there are a few guys not on here that are regulars dwn there that we may get to jump in. I just fired my regal up today so i will definetely be there.
6 to 8 cars, thats more than I thought man I'll be there Thursday-on Oh,my car has the crazy stripe and 35MPH flames
Don thats just my guesstimate! Dont quote me on that. That would be including me and you the other guys that used to run it that usually come down.
I was there and didn't see any other cars in R/M... Did anyone else make it? Hard to tell since we never got a chance to race.. just test and tune... the rain sure made a mess of thing this year.. We still had a great time as always..
Yes I was there and broke my rearend on thursday but fixed it for saturday I did see Don with his car and a few others that may have gotten in. Overall Bg wasn't what it used to be.
