I am in the process of putting my 425 Nailhead in my 85 Regal. Anyone ever done this? If so please post pics and info. Thanks Don
Regal I dont think its on buick street, but if you could find out where you seen it i would appreciate it bud, check your internet history or something. Thanks Don
Somebody, a year or so ago, had one for sale posted in the Cars for Sale section of this board. IIRC, it had rallyes, a vinyl top, and an Olds 425 with some internal problems (oiling, methinks?) that forced the sale. I forget what year it was. I had saved the pics, but lost them on a re-format. I think it was located somewhere in the Northwest part of the States.
Yes it has! I saw those pics, but I can't remember were. I swear it was BuickStreet. Maybe in the Members rides??????? o No:
I think I know what your thinking Dan. I remember it too...sorta. I remember someone said you have to cut into the engine cradle area for the pan to fit or something. BTW...an Olds 425 is totally different than a nailhead. You can stick a Olds 425 anywhere a 307 came from.
Haha... I knew that, but only realized what I had written after I had posted it. ou: So I says to myself, after looking at some of the replies after my post, "hey, wait a minute... they're talking about a nailhead!!" :error: Makes sense, this being a Buick forum and all... :TU:
Your Exactly right, ThaT was a 425 nailhead powered regal in Buick Street and it was blue, It's mine, and I think Bill the Buick Street moderator removed the pictures of it off of the site, ask Bill to put them back on because I cannot find those pictures yet, as soon as I can get it out of the garage I'll snap some more PICS of it. I Quite sure 99% that I was the first to do this swap successfully, as I haven't seen anymore on the net and I haven't seen any driving around or at any shows and I haven't heard of anyone attempting this swap except the guy on here with the '85 regal.
