Needle in a haystack but probably easier to find than a NOS Fireflake Bronze left side cover for a Norton Commando

Amen to that Brother! There is always the Addco option as a last resort.

I remember reading something about a rear sway bar from a 90's Impala SS that is easy to modify to fit your Electra.....maybe someone with more info about this conversion will chime in :TU:

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

Don't think so Erik.........those are for 78-96 models....all full size will interchange rear sway bars.....71-76....are all by themselves.....I don't think I have seen one but was told on Performance Years....all police car issued Impalas/Caprice models had them....but those don't show up in the salvage yards......I don't think I have every seen one in a salvage yard.

my buick parts book lists pt# 491423 rear sway bar, fits all 73-76 B (lesabre, etc) & E (Riv) series except wagons.did not find a listing for C series (Electra) or wagons.tried 2 different books.
there is one under a 74 Riv in our local yard, but until the
3" of clay soup under it either dries or freezes,i'm not crawling under to get it.

I found one on a 73 catalina that fit my 73 riv perfect. Pontiac was pushing their radial tuned suspension back then. Alot more rear swaybars on pontiacs than buicks in 73.

it should work for me(I can make it work if I have to), and waiting is not a problem! I'll need the reinforcements that go in the control arms too

    Nick,
That is more than I'm looking to spend on it, I'm not doing a resto just hot rodding a very rusty 73 Electra 2 door.
    Thanks though

Make sure you get the lower control arms, too. The stock one's on your '73 'lectra will not have the bolt holes in them. Many '73-'76 Bonneville,Catalina,Grandvilles and Chevy caprices will have the rear bar on them. The front bar is usually bigger on these as well. Pullapart junkyards would be a good source.
