    I need some parts to complete the differential installation. I need the rear rubber bumpers (triangular shape). I need to get new shocks also. Where should I get them, price and quality are important. I still need to re-do the gears and the bearings all around.

    Len,
    I probably have a good set of used rear snubbers. I can check if you want.

    Len,
    I've had good luck with the AC Delco Gas Shocks. One nice thing is they are already semi-gloss black, where most of the aftermarket shocks are white or red or blue, and look horrible if you don't paint them.
    I would be happy to check our cost on them through the GM dealer. We have a wholesale parts account and it may help a little.
    Also I know Year One sells them, and there are a few parts suppliers with websites that have some pretty good prices.

    On those rear suspension bumpers, I haven't needed to buy any for our cars so I'm not sure about a good source for those.

    For differential parts, I bought mine from Gevo's Rears & Gears in '98 and they seemed to be nice to deal with and were very reasonable on price. They have advertised for years in Hemmings, which I'm sure is a good sign.

    Duane;

    If yours are in good shape I'll take them; add it to my bill, I will be sending out the $$$ next week. So let me know how much. Thanks.

    Tim;

    I am looking for the correct spiral shocks; if you can get them at good price let me know.

    Thanks to all.

    Len,
    I know I have a couple extra pairs of spiral front shocks, #4984552. There were many different part #'s, although as far as fitting they are all interchangeable.
    They are already painted the correct shock gray, and I think they are dated around '79.
    I bought them from a Camaro parts supplier in Michigan quite a few years ago, and they were more than likely "new take offs", meaning they would have been pulled off of a car when new to upgrade to a better shock.
    I think I paid around $90/pair for them, and would sell them for that.

    Another possibility is the shocks on my 70 Chevelle. I'm thinking of changing to the AC shocks or maybe even selling the car. I've only driven the car around 200 miles with them, and they were nos is the early 90's.

    Len,
    If your car came with the boxed rear lower trailing arms and rear sway bar, then you better call me before you spend money on spiral shocks.

    What a coincidence, I called you today to ask you a different question. Call me when you get a chance.

    The shims and bolts for the sway bar are shot. I bought new grade 8 zinc plated (yellow) bolts and nuts to replace the rusted ones. The length of the ones I took out are 2-3/4", the new ones I bought are 3", they did not have them in 2-3/4". I think 2-1/2" would work and look better (1/4" or so would be sticking out beyond the nut). I need two (2) 3/16" to 1/4" shims (or a combination of such) to fit between the box control arm and the sway bar.

    I also need to get new shock attachement bolt/stud to connect to the rear. Mine is rusted.

    I also need the exhaust pipe hangers that attach to the frame at the rear seat area. I could clean up mine; they are not that bad.

    And the list goes on.

    Hi guys! hey Duane, could you elaborate on your post about spiral shocks and boxed lower arms? Did the rallye ride suspension not come with the spiral shocks? Just curious as I was contemplating buying a set.
