Hey friends, Can someone with a 69 "A"body tell me which side the rear seat speaker ought to be on? Passenger or Driver? :Dou:

Also, what does everyone use for lubricating the pivot points on their top's metal frames? :Do No:

    Thanks

69 GS 400 Rear seat speaker question

TTT. Would anyone be able to tell me which side the rear seat speaker ought to be on in their 69 GS Convertible? drivers or passengers? The panel has space for two speakers, thus the confusion. I would appreciate any assistance .

    Thanks

My stock speaker was also on the passenger side.
I lube the top pivot pionts with dry film lube (teflon based) it works real well and doesn't attract dirt.

    John,

See my photo and reply to your post on the BCA board.

In my Willmington built '68 GS Conv. it is on the passenger side also.

    Rear Speaker debacle

Just my luck. I mounted it to the drivers side this past Sunday, because it looked like it would be out of the way if/when the top motor had to be bled.

But all's not lost. I will need a new top and well in a year or two, so I'll just move it over to the passengers side when I come to that point.

Thanks anyway for the help gents.

    John,

I would not worry, no one can see it anyway and most of the time you will not be able to hear it either

    You're right Mike

It probably won't be heard over the mufflers...

    But it's in there...
