Couldnt pass on the deal a 69 riv. Guy I bought it from said it had sat for a few years and he noticed dripping when he first started it. But I have not noticed any leaking. Is it possible that the bearing had just dried out and now it is okay? I guess at sometime an old car will need engine work, but it would be nice if I could put it off for a while. What do you think.

Old rope seals leak. Hell, most times NEW ones do too.

If it isn't leaking too bad, leave it alone.

What'd you pay for the Riv? What options? Buckets? Floor shift? Color? Does it have the upgraded interior? (door length armrests with huge square patterns on the seats with square buttons at all the seams).

Any questions, ask me. I've rebuilt every system and component on my 69. Trial by fire.
