I got my 2.56 open rear converted to a 3.42 with an Eaton Posi unit. Wrote a check for $1000 for parts and labor, have had no issues, and I didn't have to touch a wrench. I'm happy.
I think my question is more specific as to the application. That link I put above, I was wondering if it will work with my rear. I'm not interested in a gear change though. This whole 8.5/8, 8.5, 30 spline 28 spline stuff is all Greek to me.
