I replaced the rear coils on the Electra, pretty easy. Did one side at a time, disconnected the shock, lowered the axle, and out popped the old spring. The lower mount is only a small circular piece tack welded to the axle. I wire brushed off the rust etc. and painted the area. I was laying underneath the area a week later to replace the shocks. Hmmm..if that 35+ year old mount decides to go.....didnt' get the shocks replaced. Is there a way to beef up that mount, are there aftermount options available? Surely racres must do this? Thanks.
