Says its 3.23, posi, 10 bolt, drum brake, good price.
How well would that bolt into and function in a 72 Skylark with factory 8.5 10 bolt?

    Thanks

The geometry is different (width, upper control arms and lower control arms)...will not fit into a Buick Skylark. If your looking for a replacement for your 8.5 10 bolt...the rears from similar year GTO's, Cutlass's, and Chevelle's will bolt in with no modifications.

The 8.5 10-bolt carrier unit will interchange with both "A" and "F" body cars, the axle housings won,t interchange one is leaf spring "F" body Camaro,Firebird,Nova,Omega,Venture,Apollo. The other "A"body Skylark, Chevelle, 442, GTO, Housings will interchange.

1987 is a TOTALLY different size rear it is 10 bolt 7.5 or it could be a Aussie 9 bolt either way...NO WAY those parts will fit a 10 bolt 8.5 71 72 skylaRK. Period. NO GO.... housing or guts. Sorry.
