This is not mine, but I did contact the seller and get pictures. It needs a complete restoration, but I hope someone out here feels it is worth saving. If I wasn't looking a a different 4 spd car I might have bought this one. http://anchorage.craigslist.org/car/527185902.html
Matt That 71 GS350 with 4sp with no power brake or air is extremely rare. That is the exact car that I have except I have a painted black hard top and 8track. I have own mine for over 23 years with only 62,000 miles and no rust. I have started a frame off restoration 3 years ago. I wish it was a little closer to my location to buy it! George
I just want someone to buy it so it doesn't turn into a parts car. The Buick 4spd cars are rare enough that they deserve to be restored.
We should get one of our faithful from Alaska or Western Canada to get this. In my mind I am sending out the Bat signal. Lets see if they get it.
3785 miles at the going price for transporting autos I will have to pass. Unless he wanted to drive it here and I'll buy him a plane ticket home . Looks like a good donor car to me.
I sent an email asking if he would seperate the 4 spd parts. Lets see what he says . He could still sell the car with an auto. That car was on ebay a coupe of times and never went over well.
Been on Ebay in 2005 and 2006.....think he believes he has something real rare and thinking now....how come no one will buy it.......in that condition.....there are very very few people who can take on the project.....figure easy $20-25k on a resto if you do all the work yourself...boy-o-boy do I know about that....just ask John Kemper......lol :eek2: :TU:
Just ask me for sure. I found another convert that I am trying to pry away from a crappy owner. The car is sititng outside in the weathewr with the engine out. I finally got a chance to get close and its got rot under the front windshield frame. Bucket seat conversion. Pitted chrome on front . originally Strato mist blue or close now black. Looks great from a didtance but up close not so good. Not as bad as the last one. I though George was a miracle worker with what he did with that convert. This guy is a collector but he never really takes car or restores anything. He's gopt a 63 or 64 wildcat convertable also and some 69 Impala converts. I was just there a couple days ago when he got a delivery of a 68 Torino fastback . Nice car and we talked abnout some of the cars he has and doesn't drive includeing a noce 64 Riv and a 66 Chevelle 396 convert. Just a bummer to see them all waisting away. JK
