My 55 clock is needing its 2nd rebuild. I'm thinking about going with quartz for the rebuild. Has anyone had their clock rebuilt using a quartz mechanism?

Thanks, guys. Quartz looks like the way to go. Will my clock with quartz mechanism still go "tick tock tick"? It was great to get in the car and the clock ticking before the engine was cranked. Almost, as if the car was alive.

@ 12lives-Bill; Did you buy a kit? And, do it yourself? If so, would you recommend to others to try it themselves? I have at least one spare that I was planning on sending off. While the mounted one stayed in the car as hole filler.

Yes, if you have skill with small parts and some patience. The directions are good and their tech support is excellent so if you have a problem they will walk you through it. They clock will be quiet, sorry!

Thanks guys. I've got a spare. I'll try it on that.
