question regarding piston center nibs. L2353 forged Sealed power.

    I don't have clearance issues but it looks like when the plug fires the expansion of the blast gets interrupted by the nib. Look at the piston top where the color change is.

    I at least check all for corners and then take the highest piston and check it on all 4 corners. If you are having the crank ground and the block line honed I would do that first also.

    Old thread, Ttt...

    Got a set of these pistons.

    The nubs have been machined off on them.

    The machined edges are sharp where the nub used to be. What would be the best way to fix this? Should I machine a smaller dish(just as big as the rough casting ring) to finish removing the nub and clean up the rough casting ring or just break the sharp machined edges?

    Suggestions?

    Just break the sharp edges a bit and off you go.
