I'm replacing the upper and lower control arms on my '64 Skylark and while I'm at it the shocks and springs too. Ride is too soft now so I want to firm it up a bit. My first choice was Hotchkis springs with Edelbrock IAS shocks but now I'm leaning toward QA1 coilovers, mainly for the ability to adjust the ride height (and they look nice). With my current wheel/tire combo I can't lower the car more than half an inch but that may change in the future. I've read good things about the first two on this board but haven't read much about the QA1's. They are not inexpensive but the entry level one's are not that much more than springs and shocks combined.
