aint no mechanic, but was dumbing around under hood of 73 Riv last week managed to reset timing and the old girl perked right up at idle. Thats when I noticed no vacume off carb to distributor?Any suggestions?o No:
Typically, the emissions era engines were ported vacuum to the vacuum advance. This simply means that you will only get vacuum to the diaphragm above idle, typically around 1,000 to 1200 rpm. In some cases, with the use of Transmission controlled spark, called TCS, the trans also had to be in third gear, with no vacuum advance in first or second.
