This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. ng instructions on putting top down a little confusing . Says to lower top 2/3 of the way down then pull top out and lower rest of way. 1: Does it mean to pull the top out of the FRAME or PULL top OUT SIDEWAYS so top is padded when folding down. I know I,ve seen where the top vinyl can be pinched and cause cracking. Also have seen guys just lower top without doing anything. Had a ford conv. And nothing was mentioned about pulling top out either back or sideways. I have doNe both ways and have noticed if I pull the top out of the frame I teND to get a crease under the window [glass]. any info appreciated. Thanks,

I dunno; All I've ever done is just popped the catches and lowered the top. I might have pushed it down in the retracted position to get the tonneau cover clipped up, but that's it. The only time I've ever heard it being an issue is when the window has to be zipped out or in the folded position. With my two converts, it's something I've never needed to do, the glass folds into the proper place and there is no zipper anymore.

A-body, don't know about full-size. Carefully pull it rearward, including padding...what you want is for frame to stack when top fully lowered. Then fold top material back over frame in well and secure boot. If you don't pull top/padding out, you risk damaging top...including dreaded quarter tear......and boot won't fit...
