Storms weren't too bad, just lotsa lightning and rain...not going to the nats, have some things to deal with around the house for the rest of the summer and probably wont make it back to the track until September. Have to find a garage for my Pontiac and first have to get it off my lift: was changing the proportioning valve and spun most of the brake lines....UGH....cause I love flaring, bending and splicing tube.....

Good luck with the motor - hope it runs strong!

If I can finish the car in time I will be their. Been working late every night but I am adding a few things I didn't have before. I started fabricating the intake on the turbo to accept a 5/16 steel line to a air to oil separator so I can pull a vacuum in the crankcase under boost. I had to drop the radiator support two inches so the radiator and hood wouldn't hit. I also switch power steering pumps. I will have to make a few mods to the brackets I made for the serpentine belt setup. hopefully tomorrow I can get the fire wall wet sanded and buffed so I can get ready to drop in the motor. I am just going to put a fresh coat of blk paint on some areas that could use it on the frame rail from leaking power steering fluid. I don't have much time left am will most likely have and idea if I will make it in time by the tues before the 1st.

not a surprise I am a bunch of days behind. I just finished powdercoating and I did finish dropping the rad surport to the height that I like. I need to finish the hood latch before installing the engine back in tomorrow but did install the accessories on the front of the engine. it looks ten time better than before and still need some more paint work. For a $1000- trip to ohio between fuel and hotel I want everything to be right. I have a few friends who are wiling to take the 28-30 hr drive with me and I just want to make sure everything is perfect before I head out. hopefully I will be up and running in a few days but still have fab work to finish up before hand. motor will be a good looking motor when done, its just I have 5 days to get it done so I can have time to test and tune before I take it to Ohio.. wish me Luck!!

Good luck, really! I know whenever I do anything major, I'm working bugs out for a week at least. That's a long, ballsy drive right off the lift! Keep us posted please!

I hear you Rhett, I will be trailering it down to bpg and not driving it. Well it is 1:15am on tues, just came in from the garage and I haven't even fired it up yet. I am hoping for the best and everything works out the way it should. looking to drive it tomorrow and (pray to god everything is right). New setup looks great and hopfully work just as good. Booked my hotel tonight so as long as the weather is good I am leaving thurs morning. few thing I changed with the nailhead was with my power steering setup.I switch over to a type2 gm power steering pump from a ford pump I was running before. due to serpentine setup I made I had to machine about .060 off the back of the pulley and bring the idler pulley out to get it to line up. I made a boost sensitive crankcase evac setup that is tied into the valley cover, a air /oil separator and it is tied into the intake of the turbo.
Tomorrow I will be finish up on the wiring of the msd and installing new lower radiator hose. will keep you guys updated on how it is running.. hopefully I can get some setbelts in it and be able to tech in to take it down the track while I am their.
