Casey, there is supposed to be a yellow, low mileage, & original 1974 Cougar with a 351 Cobra Jet participating. He might be running similiar times with you. Look for him when you get there. His name is E.J. He should be easy to spot cause he purchased my old big blue 79 F-350 supercab.

Tropical lime actually. And yeah had to sell (Give) it away when the market collapsed and needed the money with 2 kids in college.
Looking forward to seeing all my northern friends this week.
Anybody know if we will have any Benoitment this week?
Looking forward to Gumbo and lamb kabobs.

Ditto what Mr. Harber said (that 'bird sounds neat!) - I won't post any great times but it will be interesting to see what the car can do, especially with only 3.55 gears.

Yes, original 69' GP Model J 428 HO 4spd M20, look for a car with old, flakey white paint. (Well - the engine is the original block, heads and intake - but there isn't much else in it that IS original.....)

I like em' fat but not too fat; a 68' GP is fatter yet!

Hey y'all, I'm in for sure. Look for the 69 H/O, a little slow but as stock as they come, firmly planted on the ground...no trailer required...yet:pray: .

Possibly draggin' due to trunk full o beer! :beers2:

I'll be up Thursday, and I suppose since they'll be open this year I'll actually stop IN the track on the way instead of cruising by, and stir up a bit of trouble. Of course, I will be sure to do the customary yearly burnout for Dan and Bob on the highway adjacent to the track as I motor over to the host hotel for PureStockpalooza.

Now it's time to head out to the garage and install the shiny new driveshaft loop that just arrived! Hope it works as well as I've heard.

See you in a few days

    Paul

The tune is on "The Slug". I made a "rookie mistake" on my AVS setup. All is well now, but I beat my head for every bit of a half-hour wondering what the heck I did wrong. 3-step...2-step....it's all the same, RIGHT - METERING RODS you IDIOT Casey ?? Look for the Jalopy and tow vessel at your nearest Comfortable Inn.......:3gears:

I am CONVINCED that my truck will beat my "participant" car.

I'll be there....but sadly, without the Challenger. Couldn't get around to implementing the changes Bob & Dan wanted, so I'll be out there taking some good pix and shootin' vid of you guys. :beer

Larry and I should be there. Larry is waffling between making it an all AMC Weymouth weekend or if he brings the L88. If he goes AMC it will be the little blue SC/360.

I am going blue also but a much slower blue. I am going to play with the '72 AMX. Drove it down to Woodward and it just drives so darn nice I thought it would make a great car to race this year. I will be racing my way to the back of the pack with this one in full comfort. I addressed a few minor issues and it perked it up so much that I am certian it is at least as slow as when my nephew brought it out twice. My wife even drove it and said it was fun but slow. Man when a woman who drives a Flex around thinks your race car is slow things are looking bad.

I would take dance card challenges but I am affraid to take on anything weighting less than 4500 lbs. and any car above 283 cubes.

Best thing though is I can run straight pump gas. Casey make room for me near the front of the staging lanes.

This is one four speed that actually might not be able to over power Stantons track.
