    Here's my PA RAcing a-arms........
    Upppers are 6lbs.
    Lower are 9 lbs.

Weight reduction here looks like 12-14 lbs. plus the added benefit of more caster with these.

Those bumper brackets are very nice sounds like a good winter project for the convertible. Now that you can crome fiberglass bumper where would I get some for a 69?

I have a question guys being this is a weight loss thread. Who makes the lightest set of racing rims on the market and for example what would the weight be on lets say a 15x8 or a 15x10 rim.

Reasons being I have a set of the old style Weld Wheels and thought light I am thinking of a change in style and of course weight will play a major factor.

    Thanks

    Rick,

Contact Andy Miller at OldsPerformanceProducts.com. He hooked me up with the wheels that are on the old race car and at a GREAT price. He also knows the weights of all rims.

Rick, I too have considered updating my wheels for a newer, lighter design. The only reason I haven't done it is the INCREDIBLE amount of cash required for not a lot of weight savings. I'm just curious as to why you asked about 15x8 and 15x10 wheels when your rears are either 14 or 15 inches wide? I used to remember which, but we had your car back-halved quite a few years ago!

Now your going to make me go and check  I am pretty sure they are 15 x 10. I know they are not 15x8's. The reasons for the 15x8 mention was to possibly get a weight comparision as they are more popular size rims making it easier to obtain weights on different brands. Yeah I know the super light ones aren't cheap, just an avenue I have to check if I decide to change rims.

I think Bogarts, holeshot racing and monoque(sp) are the lightest.None of them are cheap though.Atleast 1400 my Welds were 1375.00 when I bought them and they have been jacking up the price everyday now.

Sorry to point out your faults all the time, but your rear wheels are not 15x8s or 15x10s. As I said before, they are either 15x14s or 15x15s. 15x10s are for street cars.

Doug like always your always right :moonu: . I'll take your word on it as it's 11:30pm and it's a little chilly in the garage and I'm too darn lazy to go down and look  Since the rainout at Cecil I just parked it, dried it out and cleaned it and covered it. Maybe this week I'll take a peak under the cover :boring: I know by November 12 I'll have to know, as I'll be loading up for the Ford v. Buick Meet at Atco.

The point still is I am looking for the lightest weights on rims and comparision with a few other brands, then I'll look into the size and cost.

Now tell me are your used slicks lighter? :moonu:

Kevin, thanks for the info I check it out further. :TU:
