I have two alternator brackets that I'd like to send to someone that will use them or keep them:

I also have a power steering bracket:

If I can't get them to someone who will keep them or use them, I have to throw them out. No space to keep them!

All in great, but "used" shape. Could easily be cleaned, painted, or used as-is. You can take them to a swap meet and make a profit. You can store them for someone to use in 20 years when the parts are all gone. Doesn't matter - they just have to go!

Parts are in Reading, MA. If shipping cost is a concern, I will subsidize it for you - I just hate to throw out good parts (but I won't have a choice on these). I want someone to get these!

    Bob,

I am interested in the ps bracket. Can you check on shipping to zip 48375 and what form of payment to where?

    Bob,
I'll take one of the alt. brackets off your hands and the p.s. bracket (if carl passes). Shipping to 45419. Let me know how you want payment. Thanks!

I don't have a scale, but a 20# package to 48375 is shown as about $17 on UPS.com. If you want, I'll go ahead and send it, get an actual amount, and then you can send me a check or whatever. (I can do paypal too, or if you want a cashier's check or anything.) If okay, let me know and I'll send it out.

Carl wanted the PS bracket, so the alt brackets are still available. Similar to above, except UPS.com shows $19 to your ZIP. Again, I can send it then get you an actual cost. BTW, this is a bracket for an A/C car, which is different than a non-AC car. If that's okay, PM me your address and I'll send it out.

Are the power steering brackets different for a/c vs. non-a/c cars?? If not, since Carl passed I'd still be in for that.

IIRC, the P/S brackets vary from year to year similar to the alt and A/C bracket. These are from a '71 and later 455 at least. The part numbers are stamped into them and that can easiler be cross referenced to the applications.

Some of this I learned the hard way years ago thinking that they were all the same- not! The upper A/C brackets are different as well.

    Thanks for the clarification N360LL!

In that case, let me be more specific. I have a 1970 455 going into a '72 Skylark. If this PS bracket will work then I'll take it. Sorry to be difficult!!
