All fingers crossed! I just learned I am dealing with a jacked L5, S1 disc... probably for the past four years. Please keep us updated!
Just got home and did not have my cell phone at hospital. All went well but the herniation was worse then he thought! Wound up having titanium rods installed because of the lack of disk material. I remember when the surgeon looked at the MRI then looked me and said "your a pretty tuff guy". He wondered how I was able to stand or walk!. With the good Lord and you all I will get through this! Thank you all!
May the pain be bearable and you do what you are told..... Go easy and Thank you for the update. Continued prayers for a smooth recovery.
Did the pain you went in for get relieved? I know you have surgery pain now, but is the original pain gone? They had me walking the day of and shortly after surgery, and I knew almost immediatley the original pain was gone. Hope it went well and continues to improve.
The leg pain is gone. The incision area is still painful when the skin is stretched. I've done some walking a round the house with a walker, just getting up is difficult and painful.
Can't wait to get back in the game. I had a good set head light doors re-chromed, picked them up before surgery. Got a nice black non-AC that I will be using.. Giving the rear and front spoilers to my painter when I can get with it.
I have a feeling the game will need to wait 3-6 months. Don't get discouraged. After a week think back and compare how it felt after surgery. Think back every week and you will see the progress. After a month you will be seeing a big difference. I know getting up and getting out of bed is painful. Just be careful not to bend or twist. For now just get lots of rest and keep walking as much as you can. You got this one, just don't push it.
Well they made me get in and out of a chair 6 times and timed it. Had me do steps up and down. The therapist believes I'm ready for a walking cane instead of a walker. She seemed pleased with the progress .
