Has any one rebuilt the power windows on a 68 riv.???? I have torn down the drivers side door window. The thing was as loose as a goose and flopping all over the place. I took it apart and cant find anything that looks like its worn out except the rollers look loose. This doesnt seem like it would account for as much sloppiness as there was. I hate cars without frames  around the windows but they shure look good. Is there any source for parts????? I wish I had my original 68 riv.the ex hellcat got. :af: :af: Doc

    67RivDog RivDogg is in rehab.

I'd be interested in any info on this as well. I've been doing the five-finger assist for a while now. :(

Seems like the gears are stripped out on mine, but I haven't taken it apart yet.

Just bought some new seals for the doors and trunk, so I should be getting it together here fairly soon.

    Riv Power Windows...

I WORK AT A GM DEALER AND FOUND I COULD STILL GET NEW POWER WINDOW MOTORS FROM OUR PARTS COUNTER. THE REGULATORS, WHICH ARE LIKELY WORN AT THE PIVOTS AND / OR GUIDES, ARE DISCONTINUED AND YOU WILL BE CALLING AROUND LOOKING FOR ONE OF THOSE. THE OLD WINDOW MOTOR GEARS, WHICH ARE SEP. FROM THE MOTOR, AS YOU MAY KNOW, STRIP. I HAVE 2 NOS GEARS I WILL PART WITH IF INT.. E-MAIL ME WITH ANY INT/QUES AT VIDEONSERVICE@AOL.COM

    Guide Rollers...

Those Rollers May Be Similar Or Same As Other Models. They Are Riveted To The Regulators. My 68 Riv Never Had A Failure Per Se With The Rollers As Much As Foreign Material In Tracks. Cleaning And Relubing With Gm Lubriplate Did Wonders With How All The Windows Operate, Not To Mention Less Stress On The Motors. I Never Searched For The Rollers, The 1 Regulator I Replaced (left) Had Some Nice Ones On It.--the Old One Was Cracked, I Pitched It.
