Which version do you want? 1 piece 2 piece. I have both pictured on our site. The 1 piece goes for big money since they are rare. The 2 piece set-up is much less money.
Hi George, I am looking for the one that is a barrel type. I believe that is the 1 piece unit. Thanks
I have one just the release, and button, not sure what year it is off of. Can post picture if you are interested. Thanks Bill.
Here are the pictures, not sure what year, I will take $30.00 shipped in lower 48 by USPS. Thanks Bill.
Hi GS Spoken, The trunk release you have pictured does not look like the one i am looking for. I am afraid the one you have may be for another year or application. Thanks
The p.trunk pictured is for 78-87 G-bodies and various other GM models. The one piece unit is available and I believe a couple are listed on Ebay now....be prepared to pay....those usually sell for $100-125 each.
Thanks George, I have been looking at a couple on line. i thought i would post here and deal with a fellow club member before i go to a stranger. Please let me know if you have what i am looking for. Thanks Juan
I do not have any of them at this time. Those are only found on 69-70 GM cars. That is why they are so rare.
That one piece setup is not correct. This we have already discussed a few years back. George, remember when your trunk releases use to be selling for way bigger dollars on ebay, and then we spoke about how those ones you were selling are for big bodied buicks only? The prices they were selling for went from the $400 range down to $100-150. If you want pictures of the correct power trunk release I can get you pictures. I spoke with one of Jarrod Jacobs good friends that deals with GM accessories, factory and dealer installed and he verified what I am speaking of. Also the wires that go with the correct trunk release unit are buick skylark specific, and no other make or models share the same color scheme.
Yes, I am interested in the "correct" powered trunk release any pictures and information would be helpful. Thanks Juan
I have a one piece in my '71 Skylark, taken from a later Electra. I found the same style in early '80's style Camaro & Trans AM. Mine works fine & I'm quite happy. Pushbutton mounted under the dash, to the left of the column. Never could quite see how the accessory unit would fit into the glove box. Looks like a special harness was required as well to accomodate power to/from the door switches & courtesy lamps. I'd be very interested in seeing pics.
Andrew did you give Juan, Joe's number? Juan if you still need a unit, he may still have one in the GM box. PM if you want more info Juan Jarrod
