    Hey,
Is there anybody out there that can help me with this dilemma?
I recently acquired a power bucket seat track for my '67 GS, but I am not sure if it is correct for the '66/'67 models. I was told it was from a '66 GTO, but the guy wasn't sure. It didn't cost me anything, so nothing ventured...nothing gained. Does anybody know how to tell the difference between the 66/67 track and the 68-72 without trying to mount it in the car? I have been told for many years that they are different, but I am not sure.
    Please help!

I have a pic of one for 68-72 models on our site under the 70 GS455 resto.
Compare them and see if they are the same/similar.

I got one for my car in my garage. I'll try and post a pic tomorrow.

    A-body wise...
'64 & 65 power bucket seat tracks were the same.
'66-72 power bucket seat tracks were the same. '66-72's were wider.

Just processed another parts car with '66+ style power bucket seat track. Been pulling & selling these since the early 80's, & hardest part to find has always been the thin plastic shouds that pop on the sides down by the carpet... usually broken years ago :( Considering how tough these pieces of plastic are to come up with, auctionioning them on e-Bay would be a joke.

    Gotta get to work.

Thanks guys for replying so quickly. The pics look exactly like the unit I have. I wonder if anybody out there might have a picture of a 66/67 unit. I was told that due to the floor pan change in '68, the two tracks are different. Can anybody confirm this, or is it just the floor brackets, that are welded in, that are different. I find it strange that GM would make two different tracks for the "A" body in such a short time span. But then again, we all seen some wacky stuff!

    Roger,
I replied to my posting without checking your reply to mine first. Thank you all for the help in clarifying this matter. I do have the plastic shroud you stated on my unit. Another question, do I need to purchase the reproduction floor brackets for the power bucket, or will the factory bucket seat brackets suffice. I'm assuming the worse, and that I have to weld in the new ones.
