If a pwr. brake booster is at 18" of vacuum, does anyone know how long the booster should hold that vacuum before seeping down? 1 min, 5 min, 15 min?
If it doesn’t hold vacuum, then there is a vacuum leak. They didn’t design these to leak vacuum. But if it’s a small enough leak, it may not be noticed, or it can be tuned out.
I had a '70 Estate wagon I removed the disc brakes from but didn't use the booster & assorted hardware that I put in my storage area. MANY years later someone needed an original disc brake power booster. When I removed the one way valve from the booster it still had vacuum in it & it had been sitting for many years. So IF the booster is in good shape with NO leaks & the valve is OK vacuum will hold for many years. Tom T.

See any problem with this vac line routing? One line off tee comes off the rear of intake for added vac. I know, 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag....
