I have a poston 107/118a cam and lifter set for sale. I purchased it off a board member a year or so ago and was told that it had less than 3k on it. I was intending on using it in my bbb but I switched to a cam that fit my build a little better.
Its a tamer version of the 107 window rattler on 118 lsa. .499 lift and 246/264 duration and 19 deg overlap. Poston stated largest cam on power brakes. Includes cam card and lobe matching and labeled Rhodes lifters. In original box. $115 shipped
Pics available. Money order and paypal accepted.
    thanks

P.S Also have a standard set of 16, brand new hydraulic lifters for the BBB for $50 plus shipping. They are made in USA Johnson style lifters.

According to the specs the cams are quite comparable. This cam i have has a little more duration, and its on a wider lobe separation 118 vs the comp cams 107, which should give you a little more vacuum for power assist brakes and a/c. I would assume the comp cams has more overlap, (the 118 has 19deg) but I was told by some on the board that have run the 107/118a that it has a "good/mean" sounding idle. Power output between these two cams should be similar.
    thanks

How "streetable" is this cam? a bit too much cam?

does it give up low end for high end HP? I see a 3000stall converter is recommended

Id love to hear from people who've run this cam. seems like a great price.

EDIT: another question: is there a "standard" percentage that is applicable to the Rhodes lifters? IE percentage they "reduce" the cam until rpms come in?

The cam is very streetable. I would assume that its well balanced given the wide lobe sep and and its mid range lift. I would also assume that it would actually have more on the low to mid range than high. But I admit I havent run it but there are a few on the board that have.

"[FONT=Trebuchet MS, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, SunSans-Regular, sans-serif]Lifters reduce lift and duration at idle by approximately .010" to .020". Duration is reduced by approximately 10 to 15 degrees. Total lift and duration are restored at approximately 3500 rpm. Typical vacuum increases range between 1 to 3 inches."

Straight from Rhodes website. Dont think it requires that much stall
