I am looking into the possibility of a new Musclecar show/race. It would of course have our usuall racing with the F.A.S.T cars, Pure Stock, and a Modified Production class. I have to read over the rules for MP, But I would like to allow cars with a few mods such as period correct rims, headers(full exhaust of course) and intakes. Probably limit the mods to 3 or 4 per car and also limit the number of cars in this class(MP) to a predetermined amount. I would like to have a car show, swap meet, ect. I have already talked to a couple of guys with resto parts companies for a mini manufacuters midway ect. For the first year it's going to need to be at a smaller track such as Dragway 42 to get it for a weekend show. What are your thoughts on a 2 day show? Would you guys who travel rather stretch it out for a couple days if your driving? Or is it better to get in and get out in one day? Any imput would be appreciated.
Go, Mike, GO!!! 2 days works for me! With the car show and parts "midway" it would be better for a couple of days. Would this take over the June event from the former Factory Stock Drags/now PSMCDR????
I hadn't thought of that, But if Dan and Bob didn't want to do 2 events I would be willing to take over the Spring event. If they want to continue with Brads race we would just add another race to the mix. We would of course need to get the scheduling down as to not overlap too close.
Anybody have a problem with a "Day2" resto class if it were held to a limited number of cars? Of course we're talkin' full exhaust systems.
