Not sure what happened , but ......
Haven't driven the Lark in a few weeks because of the nasty coldness that's been plaguing the east coast lately. I fired her up the other day and she was pinging bad under load. I adjusted the dwell back some using my magic allen wrench. VWALLLAH!! something magical happend...!!! When i manually shift from launch it seems im hitting the 60mph mark in about 4 or 5 seconds or so with this cold air..
Does a 5 or 6 second 0 to 60 mph ETA sound reasonable or possible with a 2 barrel setup?? AS you can see from my setup below its not too extravagant.
Just curious if my speedo may be lying to me.. The G force seems to fit .&
I've never been to the track to see how the G-force mold fits for the time range..
Its around 6 or 7 seconds when launch in full auto..
Any "off the top of the head " thoughts from you racer guys would be appreciated. All the old car articles i read on the 69 skylark talk about the 4v setups and NOT the the 2v engines.. However the advertisements for the 69 and 70 skylarks mention that the 350-2 had an impressive ammount of torque&HP in comparison to other cars with 4v setups.
Whenever I tell chevy guys how quick my 350-2 is they kind of roll their eyes.
Is there soemthing I'm missing (like my speedo outa calibration) or physical limits to a limited slip diff in rear with 3.08 gears.. :Do No: :Do No:

Just seems unordinarily fast today ... Maybe its because I haven't driven her in a while.. Just don't recall her being this fast before.. Kinda odd huh?:3gears: :3gears:

im very sure your car could be running great right now. the buick 350-2barrel is a very good running engine when all is right. add in the fact that cool air is more dense. and remember the denser the air all things being equal the more power u are going to make. have fun with ur car:beer ralph
