This came in a 69 Skylark parts car and was headed for the 72 Skylark Convert. Don't need it anymore and need the room in the shed. Complete drum to drum with new brakes. How much for just the posi with races, shipped to BG, KY 42104? I've got a 2.56:1 open that I'm thinking of using. The gears would only make 2mph difference at 60mph so I wouldn't bother changing them. I think it would be cool to get rubber at 100mph when it hits third. It would be like taking off in second gear though!
Actually, I don't want the gears, just posi carrier and the races that go with the carrier bearings. This site says an Eaton 3 series is 23 pounds. I would say you can't go too wrong with guessing 25 pounds. http://www.rearendparts.com/product.php?productid=641
