As we say down here. CRICKEYS! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2430748397&category=6144
jeez... A coat of paint and some road wheels will make that car a real Buick again though:TU: Everything else looks niceo No:
 Settle down Dan. As they say in your country. I...like, sooooo don't think so. Or words to that effect.
What's the story about those spinning wheels? Do they still turn around (well, the bit on the inside of the rim) while you're standing still. and how are they powered? <img src="http://www.chopper-house.com/64b/layout.jpg">
They aren't powered. They run on a bearing inside the wheel that allows the middle part to turn freely regardless of if the wheel is turning or not. Mostly the only time they are spinning on their own is when the driver comes to a stop. I've seen them going down the highway before, and the car is moving at 70mph, but the insert is moving backwards! Very weird to see a car going that fast with the "wheels" moving slowly backwards... Almost cartoon-ish
Yeah, those spinning wheels look cool, but the problem is that they cause serious vibration no matter what. The manufacturer insists that reputable dealers must warn their customers about the vibrations prior to selling these wheels (i.e. some dealers probably don't even mention it.) $8,000 to $10,000 a set and the car still shakes. Yeesh. But then again, if ya got your 18" woofers turned up to 11, who's gonna notice? -- Steve
I would have to say that it's actually a pretty sharp car. Get rid of those wheels and the "boom box" stereo equipment and it would be great!
Great. Another stereo with a car attached to it. One thing I DO like is the very neatly done dual exhaust. I could do without the Cheech and Chong wheels though. Just my opinion. :gt:
