It looks like my number came up after waiting 2+ years. At this time I think I’ll take a pass. If someone wants to take my place, and if the retailer allows it please PM me and I’ll give it a shot.I was quoted $465 each with free shipping. Not looking to start a lengthy debate on this, especially about the pricing. I believe many are still waiting.
I’m very surprised someone hasn’t jumped on your offer……..My number came up in April, just got Out to Arizona and put them on, nothing like big fat L60-15’s on the back to make a statement.
Thanks for the inquires guys. I contacted the retailer and he wouldn't allow me to pass my order off to someone. I totally respect his decision..
I didn’t press to change the shipping address. I’m terrible at lying and cheating and it’s not fair to others in line. I don’t need 2k in “display tires” right now. Hopefully someone that needs a set for concourse gets them. I’ll sit back and wait for the pricing to come down, and likely pay much more in the near future. That’s how I roll!
Hopefully the 465 per tire does not discourage demand in the next year or so this might be the last run they make.
I believe they were at $300 ea. 2+ years ago when I inquired. They peaked at $550 ea. about a year ago. I did meet someone with a direct connection to Mr. Kelsey and they are planning to continue. They claim that getting the raw compound was the problem.
Just for the record, Mr Kelsey is a bit of a "Richard". Had to really hold that guy's feet to the fire to stand by his product. God help you if you have an issue with these tires
They have been good as gold to me over the years, the last set they actually brought to me because they were coming my way over 150 miles.
Thst was my issue as well and they were real dicks about it. And I had a wholesale account. I bought dozens of tires from them.
This isn't meant to be hijack but, if it is, I'll remove it. For those of you who want the Polyglas reproductions for originality and just don't want to pop for $465 a tire, there's another option to put fatties on the back. If you're running the BFG Radial T/As you can fit a pair of their 295/50 x 15 on 15x8 Rallye wheels. They look nice and fat from the rear and can be had for about $180 a tire. And, they are about the same diameter as the 245/60 x 15 front tires.
