He and his family are friends of ours, she’s a beloved teacher at my kids’ school. They’re great people who have made a lot of positive difference in our community. Their world and our community’s has been turned upside down by three f#cking useless thieves, stealing bandannas (!) from Wal Mart. Now a good man and veteran is fighting for his life while one suspect is dead (suicide) and two have now thrown their lives away over stupid ****. Goddamn stupid. Senseless.

No deterants anymore, liberals have removed them. No punishment, just three hots and a cot. Line em up and execute them, watch the crime rate drop exponentially. Hope this man survives and doesn't lose the quality of life he had prior. Jim

There as so many things I could say about the bastard criminals, but it's all been said before.
I just pray that Officer Matt Cooper lives to be back raising his family and on patrol, fully recovered.

This is the asshat who shot him-SOB already had a damn bandanna. And an arrest record dating back to age 17 for robbery, aggravated battery, and fraud.
Revolving door is right. First violent offense should have gotten him time.

I don't know where we as a country (well, maybe I do), became so screwed up, that we place the lives and comfort of criminals before hard working contributing Americans. This war on all that is right and deserving of our support such as, veterans, law enforcement, elderly, patriotism, traditional family, etc, needs to turn around quickly, or I fear our outcome.

Prayers and all good energy for this officer's family and his full recovery.

Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Military Personnel, and EMTs (as well as others) put their lives on the line for us all each and every day. We owe them all a giant debt of gratitude! As others have already stated, what does it say about this nation when street thugs use them for targets.

Praying for Matt to make a full recovery, and for strength his family.

Two words: Capital Punishment. Choose a life of crime, lose your life of crime.
The first stories, tonight, on local news:
Just miles from our home a couple in their 60s were discovered beaten to death. Apparently some low life (s?) entered their home as they slept and bashed their heads in.
A stepmom beats a child to death.
A woman leaves her child alone in a 92 degree apartment while she's out for days smoking and shopping.
Scumbags seem to be multiplying at at alarming rate.
What's going to happen to the numbers of LEOs , firefighters and all those whose sworn job is to protect us? If something doesn't change soon, there will be few who will sign up to risk their life doing so. Besides the risk of injury/death, LEOs have to worry about every arrest or stop being in question of profiling (race, age, type of vehicle, etc.) or brutality.

The movie Idiocracy has many quotes that really fit todays world:

"Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species."

"The years passed, mankind became stupider at a frightening rate. Some had high hopes the genetic engineering would correct this trend in evolution, but sadly the greatest minds and resources where focused on conquering hair loss and prolonging erections."

"Unaware of what year it was, Joe wandered the streets desperate for help. But the English language had deteriorated into a hybrid of hillbilly, valleygirl, inner-city slang and various grunts. Joe was able to understand them, but when he spoke in an ordinary voice he sounded pompous and faggy to them"

LEO's get accused of Brutality if they have to face any type of resistance or they are accused racism if they are not in a certain area when a crime occurs or when they attempt to make an arrest. A no win situation. It all starts at home and there have been generations of no family structure and now a generation of everyone gets a trophy and to say the word NO to a child was taboo.

Make sure you vote for what you believe in and the chips will fall where they may. Vote, Vote, Vote for what you believe in and not what the media tells you to do. Even if the two choices are a lesser of two evils which is what it has been for the last 10 years. We can't as a Nation slide too far to the Left or Right but that does not seem to be what is going to happen

Here’s an update. Matt was shot between the eyes but the bullet missed the brain, traveled through his sinuses, and is lodged in his carotid artery. He’s at Grady’s Trauma Center in Atlanta (one of the best in the nation). He’s stable, had undergone one surgery to relieve pressure on the brain while the doctors make plans to remove the bullet. He’s strong and mouthed ‘I love you’ to his wife. Our community has rallied around the family. We’ve had a student led prayer vigil before school Tuesday, at least two churches have had vigils, our business community is donating proceeds from t-shirt sales, raffle baskets and other donations, and more support than I can remember to name. The Covington police has a ‘Fuzz Run’ every year to raise money for ‘Police Who Care’ (something Matt has been a part of, he’ll now benefit from it). It’s this Saturday; they’re expecting an overwhelming turnout. Attached below is some info.
In other news, the two accomplices to the shoplifter/shooter were 11 and 15. Their charges are pending...

Thanks everyone for taking time to close your eyes and say a prayer. It’s helping.

It's always awesome when a community rallies for a cause such as this. Beside the benefits raised, it shows that the scumbags among us are way outnumbered by the wonderful human beings who selflessly come forward to help. God Bless Them All.

    Prayers for Officer Cooper...

I've been a chaplain in juvenile prison for eleven years. Until we stop rewarding people for their criminal behavior the anarchy will only continue to escalate.

I sit in on parole hearings, this is what you hear for 85%-90% of those seeking release.

    Parole Officer to judge;
    Subject in question,
    1. Did not complete anger management classes.
    2. Did not complete community service.
    3. Did not attend drug rehab.
    4. Did not send letters of apology.
    5. Did not make restitution.
    6. Did not attend school.

Parole granted with 100% Medicaid coverage!

    Any questions?

/\/\/\/\ and the revolving door spins.......... Maybe these idiot judges, or parole board members, would change their tune if one of their close family members became a victim of the inevitable crimes these scumbags they release back into civilization are going to commit.

Atlanta city council really flaps and scatters feathers when crime happens to them (stolen car by a gas station ‘slider’, rampant burglary in member’s neighborhood) but then something else makes news and nothing changes.
