judging by the square-ish pan and the looks I'd say yes, but I would like to know if anyone else agrees to be sure.

That is a THM 250. Looks identical to a 350, except for the band adjustment bolt on the R/S of the case. This is a lighter duty trans sometimes used in Vegas, and 6 cylinder Novas, and some used air cooling for the converter. It doesn't have a multiple disc intermediate clutch, and intermediate roller clutch like the 350. This isn't suitable for a high performance application. not sure it can be modified. Look around for a 350, they're plentiful.

The title says 250 but his descrpition says "might be a 350" so I just wanted to see if there was a way to tell.

Since then, he has confirmed it IS a 250 because of the band adjustment bolt.

    I appreciate the comments.

    Close but no cigar.

:Smarty: Actually, to be 100% technically correct, that is a TH250C. The 'C' stands for clutch as in torque converter clutch. You can tell this by the squared shoulder on the torque converter front and the blue electrical connector on the driver side of the transmission case.

There were also TH350C units built as well. :)
