Please help, Looking for 62 Pontiac clutch fork

Discussion in 'U-shift em' started by asphalt rising, Jun 2, 2007.

  1. I know this isn't buick but any leads would be greatly appreciated. And I own more buicks that pontiacs. Anyway, I have a 62 grand prix 4 speed that needs a good used clutch fork; mine is eaten up on the end that moves the throw out bearing. I can't find this part reproduced anywhere. I believe it's the same for all 59-62 pontiac full size with standard shift. If you or anyone you know might have this part, please contact me either through v8 Buick, mpowell4@austin.rr.com, or call 512-699-5254. Please let me know where I can get one. Thanks.

    Phil,

It may be possible to get the Chevy part and have a fab shop "fix" the portion that is bad. Some creative welding and a fish plate on the inside and you'd be good to go. What part of the arm is worn out? I'm assuming it's near the ball stud in the bell.
