    Hello,
Just picked up 1964 Olds F85 rear end for my 4 speed skylark.
I am in process of clean up and will install new seals and bearings, bushings and maybe power trax quiet slip.
I counted 37 teeth on gear, didn't count smaller gear.
    See attached photo.
Can a forum member help me determine my rear ratio from this photo.
I am looking to find small bushings for upper ears on this 1964 rear.
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Thanks,
seems very straight forward, did factory ever mismatch pinion gear with main gear?
I mean could they have installed an 11 tooth pinion gear if the main gear was marked 12-37.

I can't located any number on the tubes.

Original owner was pretty certain that this rear was 3:36 not 3:08.
I guess I will count teeth on Pinion gear today.

Any additional info from forum members is appreciated

you could also count wheel revolutions and get the ratio, but that's pretty much it stamped on the ring gear.

I removed cover and this time I was able to read the pinion gear stamp
    12 teeth.
    3:08 gear ratio confirmed.
Looking to purchase upper ear bushings for 1964 8.2 10 bolt BOP rear.
    Thanks

12 teeth on the pinion gear is what you have with a 3 .08 gear set when the ring gear has 37 teeth. How many teeth does your ring gear have?
