There could of been a 455 in it at one time, but just for the record, the VIN comes back on that one as a GS-350.

    this was a 72 stage 1 350 4 speed car,when he got it it had a 455 in it.

Yes. I purchased the blue car in 1973. The chopped top was purchased by a friend in aprx. 1978. It was hugger orange with black interior and 455 4 sp when he bought it.

    ty for running the number.

Yep, got that. It would be a 350 4 speed, not a "Stage 1 350". A rare car nonetheless

Wow, that chopped top looks better than I ever would have guessed! I hope that car gets saved, too. The pair, side-by-side, at the GS Nationals would look great...

that would take some deep pockets imo.
might make an interesting display as is even.
put some parts on it to roll and show them side by side.
really brings home the meaning of survivor, when looking at Ryans car doesnt it?

That's a good idea making it a roller for now with a set of 70's era aluminum wheels.

We are talking about two different cars. The car I got from Bill is a 1970 GS 350 and has never had a 455 in it. Bill's friend had the 71 red stage 1 4 speed car that we are also talking about in this tread. Bill has always had a 350 with a auto in the car I bought.

I am really really badly wanting a set of Motor Spyder Wheels on this car. I sold my set I had done thinking I would not use them to Korrie here on the board and Ohhhhhh do I regret that now. This car would look fantastic with a set of Spyder on it. I will be looking for some again. One other member has a set that I have asked if he would sell them to me. He said he has a lot in them and is thinking about it. I have had several sets and really like them but wouldn't you know it as soon as I sell of mine I find this wickedly cool car that would look bad ass with them.

I quit looking at this thread after the first day or two because I had no idea someone on the board was going all-in on it. Congrats Ryan! Can't wait to see what you do with it.

Right below it is the infamous "Ziebart" (tm) plug. I like the radiussed door corners. Even the door skin looks made to fit on the crimp. I couldnt tell from the pics, but was this originally a column shift auto with no consol? ws
