SO!!! LISTEN UP.... Just spoke to the owner for 1/2 hour... So much to say and old fingers... SBB built to the hill by some guy in P-Burgh. Built 400 auto with 2500 stall and a 456 12 bolt. Raced and shown A LOT up to being put up in 1987. Custom interior to match the paint, all new sheet metal after rear quarter was lightly crushed in a parking lot. Rolled and radiussed fender lips. Original (??) owner, 1970 with the N-24 added when restored in early 80s.
Guy wants out at $3500.00 minimum. Estate guy gave me his number and he was "not interested in no tire kickers" etc. Then he opened up knowing we were Buick people. Pat actually fielded the call. Kudos to her! Personally I think she woke the ol' boy up from a nap. He seemed to read the specs off a prepared list.
We asked and he'd rather me not post his number, but if you call the estate guy, he'll give it to you. Be prepared to talk for an hour +++ !! ws

We could drive up to the Burgh and get it. Maybe see the Steelers and get a Primanti sandwich before bringing it back.

Dave that sounds like a plan. Talked to the man and he explained that he can not sell it because he signed an agreement with the auction company. I am definitely going to bid on it. It many not be some peoples taste but I dig it.

He says its all in two tone velour fabric. He explained that he did all the work other than the paint. He also said it would need to be redone.

Wow, that was only a few minutes from where I lived. I've been showing cars in the Pittsburgh area since the early 80's I probably saw it as shows and don't even remember - it speaks to a bygone era

Well if Ryan gets it and decides to sell :D
I have first inline to get that ride to southern California and be a daily driver.
I have always loved 70s 80s patterns especially on lowriders and vans .
Check out the cars that the imperials car club did back in the 70s Chevelle's Camaros in lowrider fashion.

If it was closer I'd go and get it, keep it like it is as a tribute to the high school me. Would have fit in perfectly in that parking lot.

Late 70's in far NE IL, would have been perfect for scooping on Fri and Sat nights in Waukegan.

I like my cars pretty much bone stock, but I gotta agree on the "keep the paint as is" sentiment. It is one hell of a throwback look.

I kinda want it just to see the look on my wife's face when it shows up in the driveway. Plus I could threaten to pick my daughters up at school in it if they get out of line.
