Im looking for clear detailed pictures because I have nothing to go off of at the moment and internet search yield a clear lack of details pictures I need. The chassis manual though for a '70 wasn't helpful either.

1.) I need picture(s) of the very front bow, that sits atop the windshield, how the top is stapled to the tack strip but more importantly how the seals are to be placed/layered.

2.) I need hydraulic panels (rear quarter) looking down, If I stand next tot he car with the convertible top up. It looks as though I am missing a piece on each side to "hide" the rams inside the rear interior quarters.

3.) Where the convertible cover snaps are to be installed, the piece that covers the top & frame when the top is fully down.

4.) Clear pictures of how the convertible cover should be in place when covering the top when top down.

I will attach samples of pictures of my car to compare.

    Thanks in advance.

Do NOT put snaps in the top boot and trim! The top boot has a plastic strip that slips under the stainless trim.

Yes you are missing a trim piece that fills in that area.

You are missing the piston panel plates that are held on by 3 screws on each side. There should be a "boot rail" at the top of the seat that the boot slides into. There are no snaps on the chrome pinchweld moldings, there should be plastic flaps on the boot that tuck under the moldings.

I will look and see if I have pictures, I posted some awhile back on the piston cover. As Frank said the boot has a plastic ledge sewn into the rear that slides between the paint and pinch well molding. I have seen people add snaps and destroy the pinch well trim. Hope this helps

This is the metal channel that to boot slides into. It mounts behind the back seat.

Only snaps are on the piston covers, two on each side. You should be able to find the holes where screws went through the metal, look on the back side.
Pictures I found from an old post..

I have a '71 top frame here (still on car) w/no canvas and never been apart if you need anything else.

Parts came in, metal channel and piston covers fit nicely. I think I have some spare black vinyl to cover the mild steel piston covers. I need to install the 4 snaps, but all is coming together nicely. Next I'll focus on the actual top itself. While at it, I installed the missing courtesy lights. Ashtrays coming soon.

The mild steel piston covers should be painted black, not vinyl covered if you want them to be correct. Glad the items worked out for you...

My understanding is the covers should have the vinyl material pattern as shown in the red convertible picture. My father also confirmed from his 69 convertible. Im not sure I care too much. I'll paint or cover them. At least the pieces are there now.

The piston covers were originally painted to match the interior trim. The vinyl grain pattern was embossed in the metal. Reproductions appear to not have the embossing.
