  2. Michael, you'll need some kind of photo-editing software, like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, which is what I use. OR, you can email them to me and I'll resize them and email them back to you. Please let me know if you want them for general posting size, or avatar size. :Comp: Email to gramlow@cableone.net

Also I think if you have Windows XP, you can right click on the JPG and select "resize pictures" . A dialog should pop up and ask what size...etc.

Michael, check YOUR camera's instruction manual to see if you can reset the image size (no. of pixels). You'll want to set for the smallest number ie. 640 x 480. This is exactly the recommended size for e-mailing images. One I figured this out on my cam, posting pics to the board were a peice of cake!! Occassionally, I do need to slightly downsize a pic, but not usually.

Let me know if you need anymore help..:beer

Although I have a version of Photoshop, I also have Irfanview. It's a free program that can be used for resizing. One nice feature is the ability to resize an entire batch without having to open them.

You can say that you want all (or certain) photos to be resized to X% of its original size. It will go through and do them all and put them in whatever file folder you want after they're done.

    I think it's at www.irfanview.com

  9. I also use a "free" program at work called lviewpro. You can download a trial version that doesn't really expire, or pay a fairly low fee to register it. After 30 days there's a popup window when you load it, that you just have to wait a minute or 2 to clear off your screen. Here's the download site: http://www.lview.com/downLViewPro.htm

I guess that comes with Plus! for XP....... I wasn't sure if it had come with XP itself or not....... although it should have.

    Michael,

If you have XP, you'll have "Paint" (Programs~accessories). You can resize images that are on your hard drive. Let me know if you need some help with that route.
