    Mike Wowk Who freakin' cares?

Anybody running these wires? I guess it's time to replace my wires on the 440 when I install it in the R/T.

Also who's running the Year One reproduction wires? Are they worth a flip?

I use them on my Vette and they work great. I tried the original type resistance wires that are marked "TVRS" and had alot of breaking up at high RPM. After I switched to Pertronix wires, the problem ended.

YEP - running the 7MM Pertronix wires and they work like a charm ! :TU:

I had the "repro" wires on there that were all date-coded and "correct" and I couldn't get my hand within an inch without getting popped. Junk.

What do these wires look like? Got a lot of funky writing on 'em? We were running the repro "dated" wires but we're finding some problems, so I had my parts guy order up a set of "custom fit" wires, but they are 8mm and keep breaking my factory wire looms! :af: If the Pertronix wires look decent, I'll switch to them to keep my looms intact...

    Pretty fragile terminals

I've run them since we rebult the Ramrod 4 years ago. Only complaint is they are quite hard to get off and you have to be careful not to pull the wire out of the connector. I use dielectric grease between the sleeve and the wire and slide the sleeve up the wire before trying to remove from the plug. The outer shell of the wires is a little brittle and also breaks easily.

No complaints on performance. I don't think there's any writing on them. I also run their black stock appearing coil. Haven't had any ignition related problems. Lots of other crap, but not that.

I'm running them as well. Seem to be nice wires..
I've had no breaking up at high rpm while using them.
I bought the universal custom set with 90deg spark plug ends and cut them to the same lengths as a spare set of new restoration wires

I also used the distributor ends from the same spare set of restoration wires to make the distributor ends similar the factory originals since mopars use a combination of 90 degree and straight ends on the distributor.

I had the same trouble. They ended up arcing on me, so I sent them back and was told it was my problem. So I replaced them with a different brand and never had any trouble since.

I used new AC Delco wires in mine. Oops! If Mother Mopar doesn't have a good set of wires, who does? :Dou:

    Check after dark

Always a good idea to start up the car after dark and watch for any funny stuff under the hood. Amazing what you can see sometimes that you'd never see in the daytime. I can't remember the last time I started my car after dark other than for this. Probably ought to check the headlights and wipers sometime, too.

Good excuse to drink an extra cold one, listen to the Dynomax tunes, and sniff the Turbo Blue. JUst be careful going to get another one in the dark. Ouch.
