Paint Code Breakdown

I have found my seat code as 185 is Pearl White Buckets, the one I have a question about is 59, also, how many people have seen a Skylark Custom with a power divers seat and rear defroster? Two odd extras I ahve found on mine. Thanks in advance.

Correction on the previous post. The 59 is the paint code number that I am looking for.

I am not sure if your care is a 1968 or 1969. I have never been very good and knowing the difference. If it is a 1969 then the color is Lime Green Poly.

Thanks for the help. The Lime Green Poly matches up with the color on the inside of my passenger door. Have not dug any deeper behind the interior yet besides having the door panels off.

 

A quick way to tell, on 2-doors hardtops and convertibles, is whether the car has front vent windows or not. The 1968 GM 2-door intermediates had vent windows while the 1969 and up did not.

 

68 had the ignition key in the dash if you can get a look inside for quick field ID.
