Dave---people are going round and round with the Overhaulin' Olds owners over on the "general discussion" section of ROP--they are considering trans choices...one of which is a GV unit. I opened my mouth and quoted you ..."would not do it again" and they need some input as to how much floorpan mods were needed to get the GV unit in. Care to go over and tell them firsthand? Yikes! I did respond to the engine question there regarding rebuilding the stock 400, but I think I'm being misquoted on that. Chili is the one that said "would not do it again" on that one. I think everyone knows my opinion on small bore 400's (and Buick 350's :grin: ). Don't know of anyone that has complained about a gear vendors overdrive, do know of a lot of happy people with that, but I've never done that myself. Would love to be able to afford one of those and run lots of gear. :Brow: Almost hate to jump back in that one with the new "experts" over there, but will check it out and see if there's something I can add without getting in too deep. :laugh: Remember, I'm not a purist. I really like headers and rebodying a rust bucket is fine with me if you're putting something back on the road vs selling parts to a lot of clones and fakes. :grin:
