Since I see you're posting I'll ask you a question here, save a phone call. And I think it's really cool to see you on the board! By the way, this is Nick, I I got the chrome headers today and they look buetiful! I'd also like to make a suggestion, when I ordered my headers I also ordered header bolts, not realizing they came with the headers, so it might be a good idea to specify that in the catalog, or look out for it when people place orders.

but onto the question, I milled my head .060 so I ordered the adjustable pushrods, and was wondering the correct procedure for adjusting them?
    Thanks, Nick.

The new catalog for 2003 will be totally revamped and details like the header bolts will be included. I usually question when someone orders headers and bolts.

    IRT the pushrod adjustments:
start with the #1 cylinder, rotate the engine so the lifters for both valves are on the base circle of their respective lobes, in other words both lifters are at their lowest point. Turn the adjuster screw until you can no longer move the pushrod up or down, but before the plunger of the lifter begins to depress. At that point adjust the screw another 3/4 of a turn which should give your proper pre load, between .030 and .060. Confirm your preload by inserting a wire gage between the retaining ring and top of the cup of the lifter. At that point you can copy the length to your other pushrods, but confirm the preload. Make sure the lifter is on the base circle when you check pre load.

Great! Sounds easy enough. Ya prolly didn't notice I bought the bolts and the headers, I ordered a bunch of stuff, but no prob, I've got many many years of wrenching ahead of me, so I'm sure I'll need to extras down the road!

    Thanks for the help!

stick the extra pack in your car, you could always lose one.:Dou:

i havn't had too much trouble myself, but make sure you check those bolts really often for a little while. (or is the engine pulled atm?)
