The latest date that the wheels must be received by Kochs is 31 March 2025 The cost for each wheel is $750. The only "up front cost" is your shipping the wheel. Padding Under The Carpet

    I recently tore out the heater core in my '62 Invicta and discovered that it had leaked quite a bit onto both the carpet and the tan padding under the carpet on the passenger side, before I had a chance to yank it out.

    So, I'm going to replace the carpet as well as the padding under the carpet. I know that Cars carries the carpet but what about the padding underneath? Also, if they do carry the padding underneath, whats the part number or part name? Thanks for the help!

    I would get the carpet from ACC (Auto Custom Carpet )or 1Aauto (www.1Aauto.com) which sells ACC at a discount. CARS may get their carpet from them too. They sell pads.

    Is the padding stuff I'm talking about simply called carpet padding?

    I do not think the exact original padding is remade but the carpet is and it is already molded to your floor pans if you get ACC.

    I believe the correct name is "jute" padding. The one thing to be careful of is newer padding is thinner than the original and that will lead to the carpet not fitting correctly :rant:

    Putting in some dynomat under it all will make for some very quiet cruising.

    A.C.C. makes a quality carpet IMHO.

    The ACC has a pad and if you buy an extra then you get to something that approximates the thickness of the original jute which is the name.

    Really, though, how much of a difference does the dnyomat make? I've never been able to really grasp the before/after effect of it, primarilly because I've never been in a vehicle before/after, but I'm rather cheap <grin> so before I go expirimenting with my money.. is it really worth it?
