Hello What other chromed remote mirrors fill fit to Skylark GS California 1968 ? I got only driver side mirror, and want to put also passenger side, but orginal right side is very hard to find. So want to put two new chrome remote mirrors. Thanks for info
68/69 Buick mirrors are unique to those 2 years and are identical among all Buick models of 68 & 69. The passenger side is one style only, manual. The driver side was manual as std equip, with the remote style available. The driver manual and remote mirrors are quite different from each other. Some guys have taken a driver side manual mirror and modified it to fit on the passenger side. Apparently looks acceptable, though not quite "correct". I've also seen pics of some 68/69 cars with incorrect sport mirrors mounted, not sure of the source or any needed modifications.
A set of the 70-72 chrome mirrors will fit the car, They look close to the 68/9 version, and are much easier to find. Sport mirrors will work, with a few modifications to the base to get the correct angle
Mark, that's what I was thinking too. The angle will be off unless modified and won't look very good.
If you want to use the bullet style sport mirror set, '75 - up Nova,Skylark,Ventura,Omega sport mirrors have the right base to work on the 68-9 Skylark.
