We need a pair of original 70 front sway bar bushing brackets sans pits.

How soon do you need them?
    May have a pair from a 70 GS455.

Got a pair from the 70.
    They are sandblasted and painted.

Going to use 1.25" frt sway bar, no need for them.

They are not mirror smooth. Do have some minor
surface irregularities, expected for a part that
is 35+ years old. They are yours for shipping.

    Email me directly at GStage1@buickperformance.com
    if you want them.

I should have added they must be the original size which I believe was 15/16". Sorry for the confusion.

I believe the Skylark had a 7/8" bar and GS had 15/16".
Since they are close, are the brkts the same?
Only difference would be the size of the bushing?

Let me know. I think I have one of each.

George I presumed a 15/16 poly bushing will not fit because it hardly deforms. What do you say?

I will measure both and see if there is a difference.
    Will send info late Fri.

I just was at the yard and there is a difference between '70 and '71-72 brackets. The '70 bracket is deeper, vertically. The 71-72 that I saw on skylarks were irregular shaped and were shorter on the front than the rear. I believe the manual shows that both GS and Skylark in '70 used the same bracket, but the GS used a 15/16" bushing and bar and the Skylark used a 7/8" bushing and bar. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that input Scott. So you say the metal bracket it self remained constant in 70 while the diameter of the bushing hole in the rubber changed between a skylark and a GS. That is what I needed to know.

George Shipping to 27526 Pm me with the Tab and your address.

    Thanks.

    Jim,
Here is a pic of the two sets I have (pictured one of each)
The upper one is from a GS455, the other is from a 71-2 Skylark????
Notice the upper one has tabs to hold the bushing in place. The upper one
measure approx 1.625" (opening) and the other is 1.75".

Let me know which one is the same as the ones in your car now.

Once I have that info, I can box them and give you a total.

    George and Jim,
The top picture that George posted is the correct style bracket (with tabs). I have no idea where the other one came from.

Also the 70-72 assembly manuals list the same part for all 3 years, regardless of sway bar size.

    Thanks Duane aand George

I may be on to an NOS pair. We will see.

Do you happen to know if the tabs simply keep a cylindrcal bushing in place or are slots actually cut into an otherwise cylindrical bushing and the tabs project into the slots?

    Jim,
Don't go nuts spending money on these NOS pieces, I think Year One still offers new ones in their catalogues.

The tabs are in the brackets only.

    Duane -
I think that these are NOS brackets and the ribbed bushings from 1970. Do you agree?
