On the way home the other night, I came up on a '70 Cuda cruising along. As I passed him I eyed he and his bud up to see if there was any interest to run. I got a cold shoulder so I drove on. I continued to egg them on for about 2 miles then finally got a red light. I slowed a bit to see if he would jump over to the other lane which he did :Brow: As he came up beside me his passenger looked over at me and said NO WAY and they entered the left turning lane :moonu: An older gentleman in a pickup that was witness to this pulled up between us and did one of these o No: to me and then wanted to see what I had. The light turned green and I jumped on it lighting the tires through 2nd and punched 3rd leaving everyone in a cloud of smoke (I wish I can get some traction :spank: ..slicks are coming). The Cuda sat there through his green light to watch me scream away. The older gent caught up to me a couple of miles down the road with a big :TU:, smile and a thank you. It's nice to know a Skylark can make some people happy and others FEAR.
Reminds me of high school. I was on my way to school in my Camaro when I got next to someone else from school in his Duster. I revved the engine at the light - they were laughing but would not look at me. The light turned green and I took off... they didn't even try, just took off really slow. When we met up in class I asked why he didn't race? It turns out they were riding on fumes.
