are my 69 skylark drums and hubs one piece or what?a guy told me they used to swedge them together?im an idiot.i soaked them for days and tried to beat the hubs out of the drums with no avail.this is weird stuff.help me please.............................
There are 2 set-ups: One piece, drum is riveted to the hub Two piece, drum slides over the hub. Sounds like you have the 1 piece unit.
On my 69 Olds Cutlass, the drums are held on by the wheel studs, which are swaged on...Had to pound out the old studs and then spent literally hours trying to find replacement wheel studs that would fit the now enlarged holes in the hub... If you need to replace the drums, take them somewhere that knows what they are doing or has done that type before...
